The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field on Monday, October 26, for the Week 7 edition of Monday Night Football. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN and ABC. DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Cowboys as 4.5 point favorites, with a total points line of 43.5.

Philadelphia enters the contest with a 2-4 record after losing four straight games. The Eagles are missing quarterback Jalen Hurts due to blood clots found in his calf and lungs. Wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are also out. Running back Saquon Barkley, tight end Landon Dickerson, offensive lineman Jonathan Greenard, and defensive back Jalyx Hunt are all listed as questionable to play.

Dallas has lost two consecutive games while struggling offensively. The Cowboys scored 29 points against the Buccaneers and Packers after averaging over 30 points in their previous three games. Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 20 of 38 passes for 194 yards and no touchdowns when facing extra rushers in those two contests. The team rushed for only 98 yards combined in those games despite the return of guard Tyler Smith.

The Eagles defense has allowed opponents to complete 60.4% of passes for an average of 7.0 yards per attempt. They have given up eight touchdown passes while generating only three interceptions. Defensively, Philadelphia has recorded a sack, hit, or hurry on only 32.9% of opponent dropbacks. The Eagles have blitzed on just 24.1% of dropbacks this season, which is the fourth-lowest rate in the league.

The Cowboys have allowed opponents to average 4.7 yards per carry this season. Each of their other five opponents has gained at least 165 rushing yards against them. Dallas cornerback Cobie Durant is expected to return and may push Daron Bland to the bench. Joey Porter Jr. is expected to cover either Darius Cooper or Makai Lemon.

Tanner McKee, the Eagles backup quarterback, dropped back to pass 48 times in the previous game. He is 16 of 45 for 179 yards and no touchdowns in his career when under pressure, with a 15.1% sack rate. The Eagles may rely more heavily on the passing game if Saquon Barkley does not play, though he fully practiced on Friday for the first time since his hamstring injury.

The Cowboys have a 4.5 point advantage on the board, but the Eagles have the home field edge and a more experienced defensive front. The game will be a test for both teams as they look to end their losing streaks. The Eagles have a chance to capitalize on their defense, while the Cowboys must improve their offensive execution against a pass-heavy Eagles attack.
