Alaska Sleep Clinic and Alaska Premier Group received the 2026 Torch Award for Ethics, the highest honor bestowed by the Better Business Bureau Foundation in the Great West and Pacific region. The two companies were selected from among businesses in the eight-state service area for demonstrating superior leadership, workplace culture, and customer support.

The announcement took place during a multi-location virtual ceremony on October 29. Tyler Andrew, president and CEO of BBB Great West + Pacific, stated that the winners show ethical leadership can take many forms. He noted that both companies share a commitment to trust and integrity while serving their communities.

Alaska Sleep Clinic, based in Anchorage, competes in the medium-sized business category. The clinic has a prior history with the award, having been a finalist in 2022. Founded in 2002, the veteran-owned business provides diagnosis and treatment for sleep disorders. Services include sleep studies, breathing therapy, telehealth, and personalized care. The company has expanded its physical presence to include offices in Wasilla, Fairbanks, and Soldotna.

In 2022, the clinic also received the Bill Bivins Small Business of the Year Award from the Alaska Chamber. The organization emphasizes transparent service and aims to expand access to sleep health education for communities across the state.

Alaska Premier Group won in the small business category. Established in Wasilla in 2016, the woman-owned firm provides residential, commercial, and land real estate services. Its offerings include buyer and seller representation, relocation assistance, and consulting. The company focuses on education and ethical guidance to help clients make informed decisions.

The Torch Award recognizes businesses that maintain high standards of workplace culture and community impact. The selection process is conducted by the BBB Great West + Pacific and the BBB Foundation.

Both winners continue their operations in Alaska, with the sleep clinic maintaining multiple locations and the real estate group serving clients in Wasilla and surrounding areas.
