Jon Stewart spent Monday night's edition of The Daily Show ridiculing Donald Trump's fixation on Nicki Minaj. The segment followed a wave of online attention to the president's remarks about the rapper's physical appearance. Stewart positioned the bit after an opening discussion on midterm election issues, including the economy and the war in Iran. He suggested that voters were fixated on cost of living while the candidate focused on other matters.

The monologue included clips of Trump speaking at a rally in Michigan on Saturday. In the footage, the president said he had seen "one hell of a beautiful ass" in Minaj. He added that it was "hard to miss." Stewart reacted with visible confusion, asking how the comment was real and urging the candidate to discuss inflation instead. He noted that the president's gaze was fixed on the rapper while she spoke.

Stewart compared the president's demeanor to Yogi Bear floating toward a pie on a windowsill. He described Trump as transfixed while staring at Minaj. The comedian also pointed out that Trump had previously made comments about a male figure's physique, stating he had never looked at a man's ass before. He characterized the president as having plenty of material left for female audiences.

The show also covered a political advertisement from Vivek Ramaswamy, the Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate. The ad features Amy Acton, the Democratic opponent, and her estranged mother. Stewart noted that the mother has not spoken to Acton for 50 years. He explained that the estrangement followed a custody loss after the mother's husband was indicted for raping his daughter. The comedian criticized the ad's timing and content.

Stewart then played a clip of Trump defending the advertisement. In the clip, the president called a reporter who questioned the sexual abuse allegations a "horrible little reporter." Stewart asked the audience when Trump had become Miss Hannigan, a reference to the strict teacher from the television series The Brady Bunch. This segment concluded the main political critiques of the evening.

Stewart continues to host The Daily Show under a contract that extends through 2028. He signed a one-year renewal in November 2025, which extended his tenure beyond the original end date of 2026. He first joined the show in 1999 and returned in February 2024. Ratings for the program increased following his return to the anchor desk.
