Two participants in the current season of La Granja VIP 2026 share a professional surname, leading viewers to question if they are relatives.

The reality show features Ivonne Montero and Pablo Montero, who live together in the house. Their shared last name has prompted speculation about a family connection. Sources consulted confirm that no known familial link exists between the actress and the singer.

Pablo Montero was born Óscar Daniel Hernández Rodríguez in Torreón, Coahuila. He adopted his stage identity when beginning his music career. He later expanded his work into telenovela acting. Ivonne Montero is born Ivonne García Macedo in Mexico City. She has performed in television, film, and theater projects.

The singer chose his professional name with help from industry figures. TV Azteca documented the process, noting that Blanca Martínez and Maricarmen Grimaldi assisted in finding a stage identity. Pablo proposed the surname Montero. The team tested various first names before settling on Pablo. This combination became the name under which he performs.

The actress’s use of the surname has a different origin. In a May 2022 interview with TVNotas, Ivonne identified her father as Antonio Alejandro García Montero and her mother as Rafaela Macedo. Her father’s surname includes Montero. This explains the presence of the name in her family background. The interview did not explicitly state that she chose her stage name from this lineage. It also did not establish any relation to the singer.

Questions about a potential link have circulated in entertainment media since 2023. These discussions predate their shared appearance in the 2026 reality series. Both artists are known primarily by their stage names. Their careers developed independently before they met through the program. The coincidence of their professional surnames remains the primary source of public curiosity.

The show airs on TV Azteca. The participants are currently residing in the house. Their interactions are part of the standard reality format. The lack of a biological tie does not affect their on-screen dynamic. Viewers continue to follow their daily tasks and challenges within the competition.
