Tofan held preliminary talks in October. On October 14, Ukrainian Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal met with Tofan to address winter preparations and sectoral challenges. Two days earlier, on October 12, Tofan stated he was considering buying natural gas from Ukraine for domestic use.
