Apple TV+ has completed the core ensemble for its forthcoming drama series 'Ascension.' The network announced on Tuesday that Amanda Plummer, Christopher Chung, and T'Nia Miller have signed on as series regulars. Specific character details remain undisclosed at this time.

The additions join a production already headlined by Caitríona Balfe. Bill Nighy was also recently confirmed as a principal cast member. The project is an adaptation of the 2014 novel 'Last Days' by Adam Nevill.

Plummer brings recent credits from the films 'Run' and 'Butterfly Kiss.' Chung has appeared in the television series 'Slow Horses' and the film 'My Brilliant Career.' Miller is known for her roles in 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' and 'VisionQuest.'

The narrative follows Rose, a character portrayed by Balfe, who works as a documentary filmmaker. She begins investigating a 20th-century cult known as the Church of Ascension. The logline describes the group as having teachings that initially provide refuge before revealing a deeper, more insidious nature.

Alfonso Cuarón serves as a writer and executive producer for the series. He co-writes the script with his brother Carlos Cuarón, Natalie Erika James, and Christian White. James and White also serve as co-showrunners, with James acting as lead director. All four writers hold executive producer titles.

The series is being produced by Anonymous Content and Apple Studios. Esperanto Filmoj, Alfonso Cuarón's production banner, also holds executive producing roles for Gabriela Rodriguez and Richard Schwartz. Steve Golin, David Levine, and Zack Hayden are executive producers representing Anonymous Content.
