Three days after saying their vows, Will Mulroy’s wedding ring vanished into the Las Vegas night. Tammy Bishop, a resident of South Dakota, is now asking the public to help locate the piece of jewelry lost during her husband’s final hours in the city.

The couple exchanged vows on Oct. 20 at the Viva Las Vegas Chapel. They celebrated the marriage on a party bus that toured the Strip. At a bar stop, Mulroy looked down at his hand and realized the ring was gone. Bishop recalled that he began to cry immediately upon discovering the loss.

Bishop believes the ring may have slipped off while Mulroy moved into his wheelchair or during the bus ride. He had recently lost weight, which made the band two sizes too large. The couple backtracked their route and alerted the bus driver, but no one found the item.

The following morning, Bishop joked with Mulroy that he had lost the ring in less than 24 hours. The group laughed at the time. However, the loss took on heavier meaning after Mulroy died on Oct. 23, just three days after the wedding ceremony.

Bishop said Mulroy was in pain during the trip home from Las Vegas. He had planned to visit an emergency room immediately upon returning to South Dakota. The next morning, he was congested, and Bishop told him to stay home from work. When he could not be awakened, she called 911. Doctors declared him brain dead at the hospital. He remained on life support for 24 hours before his heart stopped three times in the ER.

The couple met in July 2023 and began dating in March 2024. A motorcycle accident occurred one week after they started dating, leaving Mulroy paralyzed. He worked at Fleet Farm and had experience with party buses. The couple intended to launch their own party bus business. Bishop described him as mechanically inclined and self-reliant.

Bishop said the rings had been blessed and held deep personal significance for Mulroy. She hopes a stranger who finds the ring will return it. The item represents the final shared possession from their brief marriage.
