Whatcom County Superior Court released two suspects on bail following a robbery and car theft on Aldrich Road.

Deputies arrested David Henry Jackson Jr., 57, and Blanca Estella Jackson, 58, on October 25 at a Hertel Way residence in Everson. The arrests stemmed from an incident on October 22 in the 4900 block of Aldrich Road. A man was assaulted and his vehicle was taken during a test drive arranged through an online classified ad.

During a preliminary hearing on October 26, the court found probable cause to detain David Jackson on charges of 1st-degree robbery, 2nd-degree assault, and theft of a motor vehicle. Prosecutors requested $150,000 bail, while defense counsel sought release on personal recognizance. The judge set bail at $100,000 or a $10,000 cash alternative. Conditions included a ban on weapon possession and a no-contact order with the victim.

In a separate appearance on the same day, the court informed Blanca Jackson of the charges and found probable cause for detention. She did not qualify for court-appointed counsel. The judge issued a no-contact order and directed the immediate surrender of firearms, other weapons, and concealed pistol licenses to the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office. A compliance review hearing is set for November 19, 2026.

According to court filings, a $10,000 bail deposit was recorded for Blanca Jackson on October 26. A notice of release was filed for David Jackson on October 27 after Blanca Jackson posted $10,000 cash bail.
